MARIAN AGE OF THEOLOGY

"The modern world" writes Jean Guitton is still a masculine world
planned by men and for men, endowed with a masculine culture, with
masculine institutions rather than a properly human world. That is true,
but man is in the process of losing his supremacy or rather his exclusive
status, and under t5he gradual influence of Christianity the day of woman
is BEGINNING BADI) to DAWN (DAYSPRING).The church for its part,by conceding
an ever imortant place to Mary is an era of Marian theology and spirituality.
It has thus contributed in no small measure to demasculizing piety and
civilization.

EMANCIPATION OF WOMEN

The world in the past has been ruled by force, and man has dominated over
woman by reason of his more forceful and aggressive qualities both of body
and mind. But the balance is already shifting-force is loosing weight and
mental alertness ,intuition, and the spiritual qualities of LOVE and service,
in which woman is strong, are gaining ascendency. Hence the NEW AGE will be
an age less masculine, and more permeated with feminine ideals or, to speak
more exactly will be an age in which the masculine and feminine elements
will be more evenly balanced. Taken from the Star of the West voliii
